A young Kitsap county father sought legal help to obtain custody of his two children to protect them from their mother. He received a telephone call from a sheriff in Alabama who told the father to come pick up his children because they?d been abandoned by their mother. The mother was subsequently charged with criminal child neglect. Previously one of the children, who is autistic, was found by himself two miles away from the mother?s home. Without legal help, this father may not have been able to reunite with his children and they would have remained in a neglectful and dangerous environment.??
